Microsoft’s Announcement 

Microsoft formally discontinued support for Windows 10 in all editions - Home, Pro, and Enterprise on October 14, 2025. For one of the most popular operating systems worldwide, this signifies the end of a ten-year era. Users are now being advised by the firm to update to Windows 11, which provides improved performance, modern design, and more security.


For all eligible devices, Microsoft is providing a free Windows 11 upgrade to facilitate the transition. For consumers whose PCs don’t meet the minimal requirements, Microsoft has established an Extended Security Updates (ESU) program, which offers important security patches until October 2026
