Zepto, the one that delivers groceries and essentials in 10 minutes, has launched something called the “All New Zepto Experience.”
Customers will now be able to place orders more easily and at a lower cost.

Removed extra fees – No more handling fees, rain/surge fees, or small cart charges.

Free delivery – You’ll now get free delivery on orders above ₹99.

Cheaper for small orders too – If your order is below ₹99, you’ll only pay a flat ₹30 delivery fee, with all other charges removed.

Even cigarette/tobacco orders – Zepto has also removed convenience fees on these items.

Why it matters?
Zepto is now India's most reasonably priced quick-commerce platform as a result.
Blinkit and Swiggy Instamart, who continue to charge different rates or have greater minimum order limitations for free delivery, are immediately challenged by it.
In India's rapidly expanding quick commerce market, where businesses like Blinkit and Swiggy Instamart deliver groceries and necessities in a matter of minutes, Zepto is competing on price.

How Zepto’s pricing is different?

For small orders (under ₹99):
Zepto charges only ₹30 total, including delivery. (Blinkit charges about ₹54, and Instamart around ₹65 after adding all their fees (delivery, handling, and small-cart charges).

That means Zepto is roughly 25–30% cheaper for the same small purchase.

For bigger orders (₹100 and above):

Zepto gives free delivery once your cart total crosses ₹99.

But Blinkit and Instamart only start offering free delivery after ₹199.

So, Zepto becomes the most affordable option even faster.

The reason behind Zepto's actions

This is a calculated strategy to outgrow its rivals and draw in more clients.
By lowering (and frequently eliminating) delivery costs, Zepto aims to:
Attract new users
Boost recurring orders
Boost client loyalty

A per Experts, Zepto's "zero-fee" policy, according to analysts, will help it increase its market share in the near future.
However, they caution that since delivery expenses are real and cumulative, providing free or extremely inexpensive delivery could ultimately hurt profits.
