In light of its recent decision to produce the reservation chart eight hours before a train's departure, the railway ministry has modified the deadlines for submitting requests for the emergency quota.
A group of seats in trains designated for urgent or special situations—such as VIPs, high-ranking officials, or actual emergencies—is known as the emergency quota.
At least one day prior to the train's departure, all emergency quota requests must be made. This will guarantee correct processing and prevent pandemonium at the last minute.
