On July 1, Indian oil companies reduced the price of commercial LPG gas cylinders (the ones used by hotels, restaurants, and businesses) by over ₹57, which is a relief for small business owners and commercial users.

This is the 4th consecutive month that commercial LPG prices have been reduced.

However, there is no change in the price of domestic (home-use) LPG cylinders.

This government decision is regarded as a gift.

Domestic LPG Cylinder Prices Remain Unchanged

While the government has reduced prices of commercial LPG cylinders, there's no change in the price of domestic LPG cylinders (used in homes). This has disappointed many regular customers, who were hoping for some price relief as well.
The last time domestic LPG cylinder prices were changed was on April 8, 2025, and since then, prices have remained stable — no increase, but also no decrease.
At present, the price of a domestic cylinder is being recorded at Rs 853 in Delhi, Rs 879 in Kolkata, Rs 852 in Mumbai, and Rs 868 in Chennai.
