There were reports in the media claiming that Indian Railways had introduced a new rule for passengers travelling with unreserved tickets, saying that only printed tickets would be accepted and showing tickets on mobile phones would no longer be allowed.
However, Indian Railways has officially clarified that these reports are false.
No new rule has been introduced.
